George Nychas is Professor in Food Microbiology in the Dept of Food Science& Human Nutrition.The last 25 years coordinated 4 and participated in more than 30 EU projects(budget >5M€),in the area of Food Safety,food Ecology, Microbial physiology of pathogenic&spoilage bacteria,Natural Antimicrobial systems, biofilms,Quorum Sensing,Bioinformatics, metabolomics,Predictive modeling and Risk Analysis.He has published 156 papers(7/2013) in SCI&25 Chapters as invited author (ca.4000 citations,h=36)
